Had a .204 Ruger blow up in my face with name brand factory ammunition... definitely less risk with high quality hand-loads.

That was my thought. Possible metal to metal bond on an already hot load causing an extreme load.

Like said above, I've never been one to shoot hand loads that weren't of a know origin and condition...MINE.

I have to, Test Fire and "work up" some Max Hunting Loads for, Berger 140 gr Classic's, in my .270 WSM,.. Yikes !
Feel my .338 Win Mag "flinch", is coming back, to Haunt me ,.. LOL !

Ok, my .177 air rifle us now my go to! Just put 2 more sets of safety glasses into my range bag. Made sure my 911 on mobile phone is active. And No Way am I getting behind a .50 unless it is a MZ. My stomach is still churning thinking of the video. DANG!!!!! I bet I flinch on my Beman!

No joke! The guy that makes the rifle said it only takes 85k psi for that cap to shear the threads, that is in no way even close to a reasonable safety factor. Glad Scott is ok!
