What I'm thinking of was something of a wish list by one or more antigun groups that was full of ridiculous requirements like licensing with exorbitant fees, storage, possession, etc. applying to all guns and not just AR types or semi auto handguns.

The only way for bills like that to ever get passed is to have major public support. The biggest threat to the 2nd amendment is the abuse of the open carry laws. Ar15's have no place at volatile protests. They have no place in large crowds of people for that matter. If and when the Boogie boys and antifa ever break out into a fire fight in the streets of a city in this country, our 2nd amendment rights will disappear.

Not that you intimated disagreement, but 2A exists to protect 1A, the other 8. In short, to protect We the People from governmental tyranny and civil anarchy. If you do not think the antifa/blm marxist-communists have already initiated this country's 2nd civil war, you have not been paying attention. I suggest y'all get planned and prepped. Remember the only thing required for the evil of Marxism to succeed is for good men to do nothing. A showing of civil defense force by We the People is not only appropriate, it is a necessary deterrent.

The only chance to quash this civil war is for DJT to be re-elected, conservatives to take the house, and hold the senate. Shortly after that occurs, I bet you will see dumbazz-lawless blue jurisdiction officials experience the full force of federally mandated law enforcement. I have been paying attention which is why I mentioned antifa and the Boogie Boys. Just because Fox News does not like to talk about the Alt right does not mean they don't exist. Far more of those people are brought up on domestic terrorism charges than antifa. Its Alt left vs Alt right and we are stuck in the middle. They are both evil. It started before George Floyd. Its been going on for several years. The Alt right wants a civil war just as bad as the Alt left or maybe in the case of the Alt right I should say race war. Allowing crazies to run around in large crowds of people carrying ar15's is a recipe for disaster and if it ever breaks out in a fire fight and civilians die, they will be quashed and the sites will fall on the 2nd amendment and the majority of Americans in this country will demand stricter gun legislation. Say goodbye to anything that remotely looks like something the military would use.

What he said! Also not to sound like a fruitloop but wouldn't put anything past any of these crooks to "set up" a situation like JimFromTN has described just to make that point. IL resident here so any gungrabbing legistlation would likely be a conglomeration of all the commy states like IL, CA, NY, etc. I get to deal with this xxxx everyday.

I have always said they are not going to go door to door taking away guns. They are going to try to regulate and tax them out of existence.

I assume he just meant it is an old bill. Both of these were never even read in their respective committees. They would have to be passed in committee, read and passed on the floor of each house, and sent to Trump for a signature in the next 40 working days or they are dead.

If this gets worse its because of the Libs that pushed it. Wait for November to see it get worse (if thats possible). The reason we have our 2-A is for defense, AND, to stop an oppressive government (foreign or domestic), the problem is our government has been so corrupted that we cant rely on them to defend us, and may have no choice but to carry on our streets but I dont believe it will come to this. This happens EVERY election, and people lose it, we need to stay calm, hold fast, and continue to fight back peacefully against this crude attack by the corrupted Dem party and their propaganda arm (MSM). But, important to get out there and fight back, because we are being tested without a doubt.
