I would just use up what you have, then do a velocity check with the new lot. Odds are it will only require a very small adjustment or none at all. Especially if you are in a good node.

I had considered this! Probably will if I can't find one.You don't have to use an 8 lb jug.
When I buy some 1 pounders, i pour all of what I have into a clean bucket, mix it well, then pour back into the 1 pounders. Fill each to the top to exclude air and seal. Label all with date and "Lot 1" or whatever, and use them up. You'll end up with some full and one partial container. Works fine.
I shoot bug holes with h1000 stash I collected all year. There might be a couple that of the same lot. I now have 3 kegs h4350 _ r26_h1000 of powder mixed (same kind). I haven't noticed a problem. Not ideal but making it work since 8lb jugs are hard to find. I'd like to see more 4lbs jugs.I've read on other forums that you shouldn't mix different lots of the same powder. I don't recall if a reason was given. I, personally have mixed several 1 lb. containers of powder in order to avoid load development / checking every time I finished one of the 1 lb. cans. I never had a problem. What's the wisdom on this forum? Thanks, Ed
I like the looks of that container. Especially the lid opening diameter. Good find.
