ELD-Match Bullet Testing

Blackaj, did you use a chronograph to get your initial velocity?
Yes I shot about 8 rounds through my chrony and feel confident with the velocity. I need to do some more long range testing but have been too busy lately.
It sounds like a few others are having good results so far!

I'm having to adjust the BC at longer ranges(700 to 1100 yards). I thought it was because I estimating speeds, but I now have a magneto sporter.

I'm running a 8tw Shilen barrel 26 in. Speed with h1000 is 3090 fps. 600 ft altitude. Anyone want to run these numbers and post predicted MOA for 7 to 1100 yards. 33.2 lat. 68.8 heading.

The 195s are tracking with the predicted results all the way to 1100 yards.

Anyone seeing this at the longer ranges?

Hornady lists a stepped BC like Sierra does so I'm not surprised your having to adjust the BC. I would try the mid range BC if your going to use 1 BC for all distances.

I shot both the 225 ELDM and the 147 ELDM this week and have found the following b.c.'s to work perfectly in my rifles.
The 147 was tested in my 6.5 SST at 3100 fps and fired at 975 yards. The data was entered in my AB app. I found that the poi was dead on at both 850 and 975 using the lower b.c. of .321 G7.
The 225 was tested in my 30/375 S.I at 3050 fps using the custom curve and has been spot on at all ranges tested thus far. Here is a pic of the 225 @ 975 yards. The app called for 19.1 moa. I of course dialed 19 moa and if I had allowed for the .1, it would have impacted 1" higher. Not sure why I didn't do that? Anyway, the poi with that curve is SPOT on!

Centering up vertical line like that is pretty damm sweet

Here is some real world data on the 208 eldm. My son shot this spike bull at 550 yards with his 300 WM. He didn't have a lung pic but said it blew them up pretty good. He found bits of jacket inside. The bull took a couple steps, stood for a few seconds and dropped.
