EDC Protection for our Gals…..

They can, however they just look a little different….

I just looked on their website and they said they cannot get the same cartridges as LEO. Civilians are limited to 15ft. LEO's can get the 25-35 ft cartridges. It's true that some "look" the same as LEO TASERs, and the basic technology for the "shock" is the same. But the cartridges that LEO's can get will have more range than the civilian variety. I don't see the TASER shotgun "shells" around. It looks like that never came to fruition.

Yeah, there are differences such as "probe distance", lack of software, etc but other than that they are virtually identical to what I currently carry. However, at that cost I wouldn't wanna simply leave it behind after deployment. That's why I linked the civilian models designed to be abandoned after deployment…..at a far less price tag.

"In Federal Buildings"...nothing. No weapons of any kind.
"At college football games", if there are metal detectors or check points, nothing. They will be confiscated and persons possibly detained or arrested if caught.
"In school locker rooms", less than lethal maybe.

Anywhere else, I would rather my daughter be "Judged by 12, than carried by six". My daughters have had handguns for years. Told them (as a minor) if they would ever get pulled over with it, have the officer call me and I will vouch we are meeting at a shooting range and you are on the way there. There are adults now, so no more worries about that.

Just my .02, but I would recommend having them take some QUALITY self defense training. There is no replacement for knowing how to strike effectively and knowing the proper techniques for dealing with different attacks. I emphasize quality, as there are lots of half *** teachers out there who claim to be something special and in reality have no idea what they are doing. I strongly recommend Krav Maga as their first choice in self defense systems.

It's shameful our nation has come to this. Tasers, pepper spray, anything is better than nothing. Those ninja key chains are another option. Just need to walk with them in their hands everywhere they go alone. Unfortunately they have to be close enough to smash them in the eye.

We just need to go back to public stoning and it may make some folks think before they leap.

In this day and age, we need good people to do bad things to bad people without fear of becoming labeled the bad people...

If I had a daughter, I'd probably encourage her to take up wrestling. That's about as close to a real life street battle they'll get. Some martial arts are fine but wrestling and some other arts saved my bacon. I'd add some knife training to know what that is capable of close in.

My sisters and I took Kali for many years. It prepared my sisters before going away for college. Growing up I was always fascinated with all kinds of weapons. I started making my own, unfortunately, none of them are non-lethal. 😂😂😂

ADDED:

I work in military installation and I am not supposed to bring firearms to work but this is what I have in my drawer at work.

A pocket knife for cutting fruits and meat, the bigger knife for cutting cakes (everybody in my squadron uses it). The sling shot is for the hallway shots. I also have throwing knives and flying picks (broadhead) but it is concealed in my locked drawer. 😎
