Donut on 28 nosler

The Foster reamer does an excellent job on cleaning up donuts. It does not cut the neck of the case at all. (obviously you use it on un-sized case). It cuts only the donut. Some cases are more prone to donut forming than others. It is a good investment in having these reamers. You can test your cases for donuts before sizing by inserting a bullet in the case neck - those with friction in the shoulder/neck junction area has donuts and must be reamed out. Reaming is necessary to prevent some bullet having more grip than others. Some bullets does not go beyond the junction area and therefore reaming is not required. But for those that does go beyond the junction area it is a MUST. If not checked, you would find one in a few bullets seating with a bit of resistance. It is those reloads that will give you flyers.
