And no she doesn't actually shoot with the but pad at the top of her shoulder that was just a picture that was staged for our engagement

This is one important key to success.

Im still shooting it more than any other rifle i own and your so right every time I pull that trigger live round or dummy round i learn a little more as the fine folks here have said i would so the learning continues

I realy can't quite believe the difference in the old 700 remington after the new scope new trigger and new stock. Very different rifle to shoot now and it's due to some of the knowledge being passed around here that is teaching me that my expectations of myself and the rifle were in the past pitiful compared to what were doing now. I still love my 30 06 as a hunting rifle but the old 308 model 700 is like surgury at 1000yrds
