Tomorrow afternoon when my son and his buddy show up, we are off to
the Ochoco Nat Forest in Oregon for four days of Turkey and Coyote
hunting. We will probably do more hunting than killing. But A big Tom or two
would be nice. Got decoys, calls, camo, bows and arrows as well as shotguns,
and coyote riffles and plenty of ammo.
will do a repost later.
Repost: Well we had a very good visit and a great camp.
We saw a herd of Elk numbering around 26, 14 head of deer, 13 head of
antelope and 1 coyote. The coyote was like greased lightning wasn't about
to let any one take a shot at him. Not one Turkey. Couldn't find a roost tree
to save us. Lot of four legged tracks. No Turkey tracks. maybe week after next
when it's a little warmer and a little less snow.
