It's pretty good at 35x. Was using it on there yesterday to rezero but had to dial down farther out due to mirage. It's not as good with mirage as more expensive optics which is normal.

Can you see a big difference between the the DNT and the S3? There should be because the S3 is 4 times the price , curious how you would compare them.
Where in NC?
Oh yeah the S3 is definitely a better optic all around but as you said it's more expensive too. The S3 is better at cutting the mirage and clearer overall.

The DNT is not in the same league...especially at low light, but at 1/4 to 1/5 the price, you'd be a fool to assume it would be or should be.
I had a TT 5-25 on my RimX,
changed to the 6-36 Razor,
changed to the 7-35 Mk5HD,
changed to a StrikeEagle 5-25,
changed to a Bushnell MatchPro ED 5-30
changed to a Bushnell XRS3 6-36
changed to an Arken 5-25
changed to a DNT 7-35
I don't feel like the DNT 7-35 will ever cost me a point because of the scope. Ever.

it's a coin toss on the optic itself, but I much prefer the Element Theos for the Turrets, the ReZero system and the Reticle.
The S3 is nice...but I prefer the Theos.
In fact...I just sold a March HighMaster 5-42 and was looking for a replacement.
Was looking at a lot of 7-35 MK5HD's as well as Ziess S3s on the used market . (I have no problem buying top tier optics on the used market as I feel it's where you get the best value) but I still choose to buy a new Element Theos in black. I think it's better than anything else in the $2k price point. Better than Razor Gen3 in almost every way, better than S3 in almost every way, better thank MK5HD in almost every way.

I haven't compared low lught on these two, but I suppose I can.
Currently i have the S3 on my 6 Dasher and the Theos on my 6 Creed and I'm working up loads for it.
Ill drag them both out this week and see how they look side by side at 300.
I haven't ever needed low light performance at a centerfire match.
(It was -43 wind chill today but it's supposed to turn up a pinch)
