The only imr powder I've seen lately is 4227. I have 1# of 8133 that I probably won't take the time for development? I bought it for 264wm.

My bad, it's 7977 instead.

I'd take the 7977 if we were close. The 1lb I have is deteriorating. Can smell it breaking down. There are still some 1lb 4955s and some 8lb 4955 and 4451 on the shelves at a couple of LGSs. I took off my 338 Edge barrel, so I'm not desperate for 8133 any longer, although it would be good in my .250 MDC wildcat.

What I REALLY wish I could find is Norma powder. MRP, URP, 205, and 217 especially.

IMR7977 shoots extremely well in my two 300 Win Mags. I've got 8# of it. Should last me a while but not enough to burn two barrels out.

Any idea as to why the 7977 is breaking down ? Was it opened previously ? Not stored in adequate temp ? Old powder ?
