He probably means he gets that velocity at the barrel, then at 110 he gets 700 + ft lbs at 1100 yards.
700 ft lbs was the deer standard minimum for decades.
thats why they make heavier shooters for bigger game.
otherwise, hunt better getting closer to affect a definitive kill.

Maybe a smarter move would be a 6.8 PRC to shoot all the new round that they will be making for the .277 Fury? Imagine; 270 win level of power in a cartridge that comes factory barreled with 8 twist barrels!

Look no further than the already available 6.8 Western.

Not! I love the 260 it is better than the Needmore but that was not the question. While the 6.5 PRC is better than either 260 & Creed they fall short, ballistically to the 55yr old 6.5 Remington Magnum. Just saying.
