CVA SCOUT

Out of my Marlin 94 44 Mag I get 7/8" groups at 50 yds using 22.7 grains of LIL'Gun behind a 240 Hornady XTP.
Using 22.8 grains of H110 I get 1" groups at 50 yards with the 240 Hornady XTP.
Both of these are the middle of Hodgdon's reloads. Haven't tried anything else, nor had a chance to chrono them.
Just an FYI I killed a 300 lb black bear treed by hounds using the 240 XTP. The outfitter told me it would work fine…it did, but after harvesting it (rolled and crawled 30 yards downhill) his guides told me I should have used a 300 grain. 240 worked and penetrated deeply.

SImilar position, would love to learn more on your progress. I have a 16" model that is ported. (Hate the porting.) It's a deer whacking stick for sure here in Southern MI. One of the few items I shoot factory ammo through. It seems quite happy with Winchester white box 240 soft point. (SkUQ4240) A single box with get the whole family through about 10 seasons. :D
