200gr Shockwave 110gr 777, consistent kills 200-337 yards. I wanted more energy to go further, so switched to the 325gr FTX and 135gr 777. I never got an opportunity beyond 225 yards before I switched to smokeless, but the load was a clear winner. Delivered almost identical ballistics to the prior load with far, far more energy. I test shot the load out to 500 yards with excellent accuracy.
First you have to have a gun capable of MOA or better accuracy at extended ranges. My gun was a thumbhole Omega which I had pillar and epoxy bedded, and floated the barrel. I double the break-action MLs would match it without a ton of work, if then.
