I've had multi tapered ID's cut many times that were actually close to what is in a chamber. To do this very accurately, we had to program the lathe for four to five passes, and the last two passes were removing about .001" total. The metal was prehardened 4150 steel, and the run out was about five tenths or slightly less in compound error between all the tapers. To grind the chamber is a bitch! The issue is the shoulder and small neck diameter, and you still have to cut the throat.
