Had a Kreiger barrel that had the Cryo treatment, couldn't tell a difference, but that was ONE barrel.
Never thought about it since.

Another interesting read. Thanks again Ed. I went the opposite direction on my last barrel. I had it nitride treated along with the action and bolt. Again very interesting.

Never had one done,but I remember when the process was first introduced. I can't personally testify that it helps,but we all know that any type of stress relief performed has the potential to increase accuracy and reduce the effects of barrel heat changing POI .

My jp barrel for my ar10 is cryo treated but I've not seen any noticeable differences from my buddies Odin works barrel that is not . I did add the jp aluminum heat sink to my barrel to help with heat dispersion .
