It's an interesting concept. Please share your results. I know Fordy has used many different things from oil to bees wax to help initiate expansion and create consistent wound channels.
With the Hammers he recommends not using anything in the hollow point under the tip of the HHT. Was detrimental and caused issues from what I remember. With the standard hollow point HH it improves performance. Might work well with the Cutting Edge. Be interesting to see your results.

Great news, all the tests we have done was showing "type F" trans fluid was showing 6-8% expansion increase and facilitating the "Pop" on mono's. There is so much to this "concept" it can be quite overwhelming. All oil is not the same. There was actually a measurable difference when even changing oils with different sulfur contents. Metallurgic analysis must be performed. Melting points, thermal dynamics, cavitation & vapor recompression is interesting. We have tried everything from basic chapstick to natural oils to ultra high grade Sailrite.
There is a company coming out with a bullet oil injection kit soon that has custom oil for two different brands of bullets facing expansion concerns.

@FEENIX just a side note, chamfering those specific tips on the bottom will dramatically change your expansion when using high viscosity petroleum based products. Cutting edge and McGuires are not needed generally due to their consistency.

I find this concept extremely interesting. CRP003 are you filling the hollow point completely? Or just partially? Which oil has worked the best for you so far?
My main concern is a clean easy way to do this. I have no shortage of beeswax wax, but I think it would be a very messy process.

Yes Full, but there many variables to this also, all tips are not created equal (materials, densities, and machining). There are irregularities among them. When seated to the metal alloy there is always a finite "gap". This gap is evident when the projectile is in motion and the oil is evacuated. How much oil remains? This is unfortunately not measurable.
We see evidence of this as the "vapor" as most know it, is expelled. I'm unfortunately unable to share which oil is the best and procedures to install yet until I am an active sponsor due to my involvement in this industry.
