Ok, has the Weatherby case taper and double radius shoulder, so more internal volume.

Did you push the shoulder back? How long I the neck?

We did bump the should slightly. The neck is .300 long about .050 longer then the 300 win mag

Interested in the 277. Curious what you would expect for barrel life with 170 berger? I assume velocities would be very similar to that of the 270-300 win due to similar case capacities, I just wonder if the barrel life would then also be about the same. What would a person have to do to go about ordering a reamer for this cartridge?

I like the cartridge design. Definitely excited to learn more.

Case length on the 284? Better yet would be a case drawing. How does it differ from a 7 mm Weatherby? I'm slowly accumulating the parts for a 32" Savage chassis gun in 7mm. I'm currently leaning towards chambering it in 7 mm Weatherby. What barrel length were you using on the 7 ? Oh great I just noticed he has been banned. That sucks.
