I've never seen a factory gun go 1/4 moa or better not saying unicorns don't exist, but ive got several custom rifles do 1/4 moa.
Great combo ! The Mark V glass is a bit better than Nx8 IMO.I've got one on route. It's been stuck at the border for six weeks and counting… I went with the Leupold Mark5 3.6 to 18.
I got to handle one in person last year, though I didn't have a chance to fire it. It has the same stock as a magnus with some tweaks, though, which I have fired and really liked.
I'll let you know if it lives up to the hype when it gets here.
Nightforce scopes are severely over rated.Gunwerks Nexus with NF nx8 4-32.
Hand it down to next generation. Google it.
Whoa careful lightning is gonna strike you….Nightforce scopes are severely over rated.
I realize people go with their experience but thats a small sample size of all scopes produced. I also never go by what I hear on internet forums. Just my experience. People tend to be cheerleaders depending on which forum you read.Idk nightforce hands down makes the toughest scope on market. Ive had 2 zco break a tt break heard of others breaking.
Its well known how tough a nightforce is. I dont own but one atacr anymore i got nothing but zco and tt now but thats glass preference. Nf is tougher first hand experience.I realize people go with their experience but thats a small sample size of all scopes produced. I also never go by what I hear on internet forums. I just put one together carbon six barrel with break 900 savage long action 350 stocks carbon fiber stock 500 bottom metal savage 150 go no go gauges 100 vortex razor lht 4.5-22 and bases 1650 3650.00 it's a 7prc 26 inch barrel
+1 on the diy. Just built a remage for my son. Came out nice and we are just starting load development but it looks good. You can also get an origin that takes savage small shank barrels for around a grand. As previously said, you can build a very nice rifle for under $4k if you can screw on a pre-fit barrel and stock. I'm on my third DIY, first two roughly $3250, last one same plus $750 for increase action price.
$1500 action of your choice
$950 Proof pre-fit carbon ($450 less for steel)
$700 McMillan stock, drop-in fit
$300 bottom metal and mag
$200 trigger
$3650 total + scope of choice
I really don't see how you could build a better rifle for the price. My last DIY in 6.5 CM produced a three shot group of .244" at 100 yards with 140 Berger Hybrid Target factory ammo.
You can pay a lot more but you don't always get more. There's no doubt a good smith can cut a precision custom chamber and fully bed the stock but it's not always necessary.
