Cooper Rifle Targets

I am looking at buying a lightly used Cooper Rifle. This would be my first one. The test target from the company is pretty impressive.

My question is they are shot with a 36x scope and I guess also with hand loads but how far away are they shot at? 100 yards I would hope.

I think they are shot at 47yds in an indoor range, which is 50m.

Yes 47 yards it is. What model Cooper ,what caliber ?

Would not most any rifle with hand loads and a 36x power scope at 47 yards shoot this well? How do they do at 100 yards

Not necessarily, it does make the rifles appear really accurate and some say it seems misleading to not list the range of the target. However, you don't hear too many folks complaining about their Coopers. This says a lot to me.

Sorry to sound like a know it all but a meter is longer than a yard:
47 yards is closer to 43 m.

I love Coopers, but I have always felt that the card on the gun is deceptive.
No, I'm sure of it, as there is no reason to post a 47yd group other than to make people think it's a 100yd group.

But like I said, I love Coopers. They were a fantastic deal when they were ~$1200-$1400.

I had a Mod 22 in 22-250 AI ,shooting off shooting sticks in the field it was spot on. Trying to find a load shooting off front and rear bags it was extremely sensitive. Trigger was marginal . But slick action . Looking back I wish I bought a Sako or a Styer .

I just got my .270 Win Cooper yesterday and shortly well see just how accurate that little card is. I'm expecting it to shoot better than I can. We shall soon find out.
