Does anybody know if there's an action manufacturer that makes an action like Cooper Firearms of Montana does? I have a Cooper Model 22 that was originally built with a 22-250 barrel and it also has a 6.5/284 barrel. I'd like to build another gun with the spare barrel but haven't been able to find an action the barrel will fit. The barrel tenon measures .798 in diameter and has 20TPI. I talked to the people at Cooper and they don't sell separate components for their rifles even to a gunsmith! They could not explain how anyone received an extra barrel unless one of their employees "made an exception". The 6.5/284 barrel is the spare barrel because it doesn't have a serial number. Any help is greatly appreciated.
