Come at me Bro.’ Pew-Pew-Pew-Pew

With so many variables, every shot can't land perfectly on target. I don't know a single hunter who hasn't had a shot go somewhat awry requiring follow up shots.
Yup. And 90% of them who have been hunting long enough are being disingenuous if they don't admit it. You just don't want to make a habit of it. Nice pig, OP. You sealed the deal and that's all that counts.

I suppose if you don't have anything constructive to add then the next thing to do is take a disrespectful shot at me?
The goal in my book is that if you can't make an ethical, clean, kill shot then don't take it. The video shows him taking 6 shots to drop and kill a pig. He should be proud.

Should have been done on the first shot
The animal was stationary not running so no excuses at all
Get the rifle bagged and tested again check your shot placement on paper it's all high from what I see
I like and also follow 1 shot kill you say BUT!!!!
And absolutely nothing to be proud of six flammin shots to take out your prey

His first shot looked like a lung shot to me - it was a kill shot. Good for him to keep shooting until it went down.

I am shocked! a 6.5 with some good shot placement took 6 rounds to put down that small hog. I am never using a 6.5mm, EVER. I will stick to my .430", .338", .308", and .375" projos I used back in California to take out 125 pounders to 1,000 pounders. I knew I did not like .264" projos.. this seals it.. not going to waste my time with any 6.5 MM bores.
More bullets for the rest of us!!

Have you never needed a follow up shot?

Welp! That escalated quickly.
I was pretty thorough in stating first shot was shooter error. If you are one to blame equipment first then you've got another agenda (aka. your caliber choice is obviously the right one).

He was dead on the first shot. Farther back and high then I like but still dead. Now you've got a 150+ boar running at you, are you just gonna stand there?

Finally, this boar was in the dirt less then 50 yards from the first shot. I'll assume every animal you've shot hits the dirt with your shooting ability and your caliber choice.
