CO elk hammered 6.5 Creedmoor

I believe a 140g 6.5CM is deadlier than a 168gr 308. Just personal experience on Moose & Elk. I wouldn't hesitate to use a 6.5 on anything.

In fact, I use a .243 on deer. They typically don't go very far.

I agree they are so
Similar but after hundreds of kills with the creedmore I can say I much prefer the 120-30 class bullet to the 140-50 class.

In my opinion speed always kills better. The trade off is with Lighter bullets they don't penetrate as well as a heavy. But monos that's are light do do that. So they carry more speed for more shock factor, and they drive deep like a heavy. Only downside to monos is low bc. But in my case and a lot of the times the distance that the heavies hit the min FPS to open and the lighter 120's is within 100 yards so I always like the faster bullet. Just seems to shock the system more when they are hit
