Clip on Thermal Advice

I think a dedicated thermal rifle with a normal thermal scope is the way to go. No taking stuff on and off wondering if it's still zeroed. Now they're coming with built in LRF and a reticles that automatically adjust based on the range and your ballistics. Rix DBH, Nocpix Ace 50, AGM adder V2 640, Iray rh502, or Pulsar XP60 all have LRF and ballistics, record video and audio, and have new larger displays in the eyepiece. The Nocpix also has ocular zoom that you can use to zoom in on the display itself.

No question. I know a lot of night hunters and not a single one employs a clip on.

Everyone says Pulsar has the best customer service. I never needed it so can't verify. I also see Ifiniray guarantees service turn around time. It is like 15 days or maybe even less. AGM and especially ATN are not known as high quality product or service. If your spending $4K there are 640 options from Pulsar, Ifiniray and Bering that all are very good. Pulsar Telos 640 is marked down from $4,200 to $2,600 if you look around. I recommend Predator Hunter Outdoors out of Michigan. They will throw in extras like quick detach mounts and battery packs. Ask for Paul and have a talk about your goals. He carries all the brands on his website. Lots of experienced hunters recommend his store and advice on thermal and night vision.
