Christensen Mesa issues

Sometimes it is just the barrel itself. Something wrong with the way it was milled or rifled. Worn tools towards the end of their use, can produce barrels that aren't actually straight. Imagine a barrel shaped like a "U", thats extreme, but I'm trying to make a point here...
I crooked barrel might group great at a certain range, but throw shots all over the place outside of it's "Sweet spot".

Hello,
I purchased a Christensen Mesa 7mm rem mag back in January. I completed the barrel break in process exactly as Christensen recommended and I've got about 140 rounds through it. This is including 3 factory ammos ghat Christensen recommended to me. I've gotten maybe 3, 3 shot groups that are sub moa. Besides that, I'm lucky to get a group under 2 moa. I tried a different scope and am having the same issue. I sent it in to Christensen and they ran it through some machine they have and said it passed their accuracy test so they sent it back. They didn't even fire a live round through it! Needless to say, I'm very mad and frustrated at Christensen. I paid a lot of money for this rifle that won't even shoot sub moa. I have a $300 savage that I can shoot .5moa with all day long. I am just curious if anyone else has had issues like this with Christensen and if so, were you able to determine what was wrong with the rifle and how to fix it?

thanks for your help
I didn't have the same problem with my CA Classic 300 WM, but did have deplorable service from them. They just didn't seem interested or have the time to deal with me.

Any updates on this??

I was all set to buy a new Mesa in 7-08 that my wife could use, but this CS (customer service) issue has me completely rethinking Christensen Arms (CA). I've searched and read about others who have had CS responses from CA that are unacceptable from my view.

I really wanted to buy one of their rifles but why would I play roulette with their products, because if you get a one that does NOT perform like CA says that it will, it appears that they will not stand behind it and make it right. Now it may be that the ones that don't perform to advertised promises are 1in100, 1in20, or 1in3 ... who knows.

Would you risk it? Knowing that if you get 1 of those, you then get to purchase another barrel and pay to have it installed, so it will perform the way you expected it to when you bought it new,

I'm not posting to bad mouth them, I want to the purchase one of their rifles, but I don't think I want to gamble that much.... and I do like to play cards sometimes.
