That would depend on the brake and the cost. I am a fan of brakes.

I have a Mesa in 300WM. The features are nice especially considering the price point. So far the accuracy isn't really up to my standards. I've got 450 rounds through mine and so far only 1 hand load that barely meets the 1 MOA guarantee. I'm getting it rebarreled this winter.

As far as how far your wanting to shoot, performance of the rifle. Handloaded ammo or factory ?

Well I would read Christensen's warranty about handloaded ammo.
