Sorry guys. I had gotten busy with everything else in life, and put this on the backburner.
I did do initial load development for the gun using standard small rifle primers and many different powders and loads for 32gr and 40gr vmax bullets. The best three shot group I got was .4" using the 40gr bullet over BLC-2. I loaded a box of them, and found the group size to actually be around 1 moa. Not what I want for a prairie dog rifle. I did get a coyote with it in January though.
Fast forward to this last week. I retried 15 loads using magnum primers and the 40 grain Vmax. It did tighten up a lot. I was able to find .5 moa or less groups using IMR 4064, H4895, and Varget. Varget was the winner for sure at 27.1 grains and 28.1 grains. Got this done right before we do our annual prairie dog hunt next weekend.
I think I will put the gun in an Oryx chassis, but it will likely be next spring before I can do it. I will report back after. Here are the two Varget groups the factory gun shot though.
