I can't believe that a far left leaning report would actually be spreading misinformation! I'm going to have to turn on CNN to find out the truth.

I'm not very cultish I guess. I just tend to take things at face value regardless of source (even if it was CNN or Business Insider). I was (and still am) perfectly willing to believe either supposition.

I don't believe nor disbelieve things. Rather I am willing to believe anything that doesn't conflict with what I know for certain, once it's proved. Until then it is just food for thought.

I just thought the first article was interesting (and alarming if true. Especially the bit about a previous full continental transit and previous sorties near Hawaii), and then when I saw the other conflicting article (admittedly from a site run by a guy whose father was a full blown communist who is clearly himself extremely sympathetic to Russia) I thought that was at least as interesting and noteworthy.

Well there were flying balloons under Trump admin. I remember seeing the left flying Trump balloons & howling at the moon. lol

I was raised by my maternal grama - mom was too busy with job & stuff. A smart, tough lady from a foreign land who endured much discrimination and was regarded like a 2nd rate citizen there and systematically denied opportunities that we take for granted as Americans. She loved the USA!

DoD would have been under tight supervision & control by POTUS and immediate info on CCP balloon provided. Balloon gently deflated then payload recovered intact with minimal damage then analyzed after quarantine/inspection for bad stuff. Note to X - "our Naval forces have recovered some of your property, we intend to return it promptly, pls arrange a time & place."

Imagine floating around for weeks looking for something & then when something big happens politicians screw it up.

It seems like you are the expert in this area. I am not. I am a US citizen that finds it strange that China sent a spy balloon across the United States.

I have a BIG problem with China Joe letting it travel all the way across Illutian Islands, Alaska then from Montana all the way to South Carolina before shooting it down. And in sea where hard to find prices. Convenient.... I'm sure the Chi Com's we're gathering data from the balloon. He let them map it all then tells them ok, I have to shoot down now. I can't say on here what I think of that ***. How do we know it wasn't spreading a new china virus ? He's doing everything he can to make us weak . Now that we have a Congress (some) with balls maybe we'll find out all his and his brother and son's dirty $ deals with China and Ukraine . With the FBI and DOJ working for him I doubt it tho. I'm sure the laptop has been wiped clean and they had from Nov. 2nd until mid Jan. To go thru classified and Top Secret papers before letting it out All the way back to VP. They have to make sure none of it has Obama or Hunters name on it.

My faith in our military isn't what it used to be. After seeing General Milley on tv a couple years ago almost crying saying he wanted to be all inclusive and wanted everyone in the service to learn critical race theory. Can you imagine General Patton almost crying about some stupid stuff like this?
Yes you are right and the balloon was nothing but it wasn't handled well in my opinion. Someone needs to stand up to China but that's not going to happen with this president.

Funny thing Google maps doesn't show a thing across the street from my home (black screen). After about 200 yards & what they do show is over 20 years old. Verified by neighbors Deuce N half sitting behind our property. So saying Google gives you live data is not quite right. And I would imagine it's the same on other military installations. And there's a private airport about a mile away. Flying over this installation would also be detrimental to your health. As I have been told by pilots from there. The president visits this place frequently.

too bad china wasn't smart enough to just look up the Minuteman missle sites. They could have had a whole collection of google earth coordinates and satelite photos that the other 5billion of us can see.

When I hunted out of Chugwater there was a missle silo on his ranch and his Father in laws ranch. I used to walk past it at night and see the red light on the electrical box. I always thought of a missle shot out of there there'd be no limits and license and tags not needed. There was a Far side comic of that with two guys in a boat fishing and two missile's going each way.
I think it was 1983 when Regan was prez. I saw tractor trailers going down hwy 25 with big white containers with air force insignia on them. They were replaced missles with new minuteman missles.

Back in the eighties there was a long white train traveling west across the United States. It was leaked that it might be carrying nukes. There were people laying on the tracks and protesting along the it's path. The real nukes were moved by truck without being noticed. Big bright items that draw our attention are seldom what they seem. Or not.
