Case Confusion

I wouldn't be sizing that brass to even bump 0.00".
Leave it as is,
FL sizing new brass is futile, it's rare that any die will even touch the shoulder on new brass. I run ALL new brass through a die….but that's so that I can then use the mandrel on the necks and have the neck IF that I WANT. New brass is ALWAYS TOO TIGHT IN THE NECKS.
Shrinkage occurs when brass is being pulled from elsewhere when the case is fired, I bet your OAL is also getting shorter.

Cheers.

I never bothered to check the OAL on the fired cases. You are correct, it got shorter.

Thank you all for the replies. A wealth of knowledge here.

Reload it and shoot it again, then remeasure. If it chambers fine I would probably just neck size this go around.
