Carbon ring? Removal?

I have dealt with the carbon ring before in a 6.5-284 Norma and I didn't like the idea of using JB either. After much research I went with Sea Foam and elbow grease. All together, I cleaned it about 2 hours. I'd scrub till my arms would tire and then go do something else, comeback in a few minutes and hit it again. Over and over. That did the trick and now I use it on EVERY cleaning session. I was told either "GM Top Engine cleaner or Sea Foam", couldn't find the former, so off to Auto Zone I went. It works (great on lawnmowers, generators and weed eaters too).
I anneal my brass about 10-12 seconds each and always have. I don't use a machine and I only use one torch. I've done this with Lapua, Norma, Remington, Frontier and Federal brass. johnnyk.

I found the best product by accident for removing carbon rings and carbon in general.
I reached for a solvent spray I normally use on my barrels after using Hoppe's, anyway, I grabbed a can of Carby Clean instead and sprayed a considerable amount in the barrel before noticing what it was. The black stuff that was dripping out the muzzle was amazing!
I scrubbed a soaked nylon brush in the chamber & it was spotless in no time, as well as any carbon build up in the end of the chamber.
This is my procedure now after a weekend of matches. Scrub the chamber with a drill on a short rod with a nylon brush soaked in Carby Clean, works a treat.

Will seafoam be safe for cerekote finish if any gets on it??

Sorry guys, I assumed it was available worldwide, looks like it's only available here in Oz.
Any caburettor cleaner/brake cleaner should be similar I would think.

Use caution when using carburetor cleaner, it will dissolve plastic (and damage finish on wood stocks). Brake cleaner is a little safer, but will remove all oil from the metal. Make sure you apply something to protect the metal from rust after using either.

That, I don't know. My barrels are stainless steel. I will look at the MSDS for SeaFoam and see if I can discern anything from that. johnnyk.
