Don't change the channel, yet. as I am staying with the .243 class. I went with a 6mm Creedmoor, not the 6.5 creedmoor.
It would need fins to stabilize and then I guess we could call it a lawn dart. How long is that Berger .243 225 Gr Bullet? What is the BC?
Maybe, but your barrel might not like the powder required to get the velocity. If you havent ordered a barrel yet just grab a 7 twistAbout to convert a 26" howa creedmoor into a 243improved 30°,specifically to shoot the 225gn Bergers.
Berger's site says I'll need 3100fps to properly stabilize them from the 7.5twist barrel.
Am I going to be able to get that speed OK ?
Thanks, Mal
Are you converting a factory 6 creedmoor ?Sorry, 115gn pill
Stuck with the factory 7.5 twist barrel
I went 30° as its a hunting rifle and I wanted 100% feeding
Sure amAre you converting a factory 6 creedmoor ?
Gotcha, thought you were talking rebarrel.Sure am
I think those 109s are a target bullet ?Gotcha, thought you were talking rebarrel.
Well if the 115s won't shoot theres plenty of options that will stabilize from 105-110
Bergers 109 looks Interesting and only needs a 1:8
