In my semi-professional amateur opinion, Berger 180 Hybrids are the best 7mm elk bullet I've ever used. Great expansion, good penetration and most 7mm cartridges can make good use of it.

I had DRT on a 4X4 muley at 350 yards and blew a grapefruit sized hole in a antelope that was bedded down at 400. 7 SAUM 180G Hybrids. I took a bull elk last weekend with a 300 wby shooting 180g Barnes at 3,190 at 230 yards double lung shot, ran 30 yards and collapsed.
