I am looking to build a smaller semi budget rifle for deer hunting. I already have larger rifles like 30-06, 7mm WSM and 300 PRC so I am planning on building a 6.5 Creedmoor.

Zermatt Origin Short Action Left Hand
Carbon6 Prefit Featherweight 1:8 21" 5/8x24 plus Carbon 6 Muzzle Brake
McMillan Hunters Edge Sendero
Hawkins BDL Bottom Metal
Trigger Tech Primary

This should come in at about 6lbs before I throw a 4-16 Huskemaw on it.

Is there anything I am missing? I am thinking this should work well on deer out to 600 yards or so.

Did you catch most of that stuff during Black Friday or are you just now starting to put it together? if just now and If weight and budget is a concern, you might check out preferred barrel blanks and look at the weight of their tapered .750 barrels. They are generally lighter than carbon fiber barrels. you should be able to get a Solus action for around $700. I believe this will be a little weight savings, and it has an integrated recoil lug and uses the same prefit as origin.
