Brown man brought my Manners MCS-LRH stock!!

Thanks. Manners is telling me 30oz for the stock, 4.5 for the mini chassis. Something isn't adding up, unless that atlas rail is pretty heavy. I would expect the flush cups are less than an oz, and I think the pad difference is probably around 1.5oz?
I think that sounds right. I believe the stock is more like 32-33oz depending on inlet for LA/SA and also BDL vs M5. I believe the rail is only about 1.5oz also.

I mentioned it before but I ordered one without the chassis in July that was ready in November, but in October I was able to get one that was on their site and completed already. I didn't realize it had the chassis until it arrived. I was initially disappointed but decided not to take delivery of my original order because I ended up not minding the extra weight and it seems to do quite well even without being bedded.

My rifle with a Mark 5 is 9 pounds 1oz, so if I swap that with a VX6HD I could shave about 7oz and I am ok with either.

Yeah, I kinda want the chassis just to not deal with bedding. I know it adds a little weight depending on what type of bedding job you do, but it sure does make it easier to swap actions around. It's just rough since the MDT HNT26 works out to 32oz ready to go with the full-length built in ARCA rail and the spacers needed to get the LOP to 13.5" (max it'll do with included spacers), and this combo looks like it'll be more like 40oz all up. 1/2lb is 1/2lb, and it's not a folder, but I do think the LRH looks a heck of a lot better. I wish somewhere local had these so I could get my hands on one and see what the ergonomics are like.

Ergonomics are basically an EH1, so if you like that you'll probably like this. That's what they based it off off before trimming the grip so it's not as fat, and the forend has some grooves down the sides that relive some weight as well as the barrel channel having some material removed. I'm sure there's more, but those are what I noticed before I slapped my barreled action into it.

That said, if you like the MDT ergo, and it's a solid 32oz, that's a lot to think about!

Manners mini chassis usually adds .62 lbs to the stock weight. That's for a short action.

What's the length of the forend for an aftermarket (RRS USR) rail? Ideally measured from the front of the M5 bottom metal cutout to the tip, but also from the magwell to the tip (like the included arca rail - I could do the same kind of split cut and chamfer, but install a full-length rail instead of the short 3.5"). I'm thinking about skipping the included ARCA and just doing a full-length.
