Bolt information - need a hand on this one.

I have a Rem 722 that is in a several year process becoming a 6BR. Not much of a problem there.

The problem is that the bolt has become misplaced. No need to ask........how or why.

What are the choices?

Is a 722 bolt different than a 700 SA bolt.

If I go to PT&G, what about a bolt head size for the BR cartridge?

What about extractor?

I know nothing about this end of things and was doing well with DIY until there was no bolt.

A SA Rem 700 bolt can be fitted. This may be a blessing in disguise. 722/721 extractors are very hard to find. A PT&G bolt can be ordered with either a Rem or Sako extractor cut. You will have to have the bolt handle installed and timed.

I'll go that route. The bummer part when the 'system' lost the bolt it had a Sako extractor installed. What a bummer......
