I have a blank and bolt for a Stiller 375 CheyTac action, the bolt came from PTG originally, but I bought it from the buyer who is an acquaintance.

PTG used to sell the action, but I don't see it listed on their website anymore. Stiller now sells the action on their site, and they list a 1.45" diameter action and a 1.60" diameter action. I'm not using a tube though, I'm using a tactical stainless, and it's big, I need to mill a lot off of it, since square things don't work well in the lathe, at least not in the beginning they don't. I'm not that patient and this blank has been heat treated after it was EDM'd.

On the Stiller site they show the 1.60" with a .747" bolt, and I have a .750" bolt. On the 1.45" spec, it states .750" with either a 1.45 or 1.60 diameter action.

I think I can figure it out by knowing the length as the tenon and I am not working on this just yet. I have sent a message to PTG to ask if they would share the blueprint they used, as it is their bolt. Not sure if they will or not just yet. Any comments? Please be easy on me, I'm just a DIY gunsmith, and only play one on the Internet. I mean no harm.

I can't help but feel like it's unclear what you are asking, do you have a receiver for the bolt? Do you have a receiver but the bolt doesn't fit? Maybe some pictures? Thanks

It needs a little work, which is why I was asking. I think knowing the length of the action as posted on the Stiller site will allow me to calculate and fit the bolt properly. And I'm not sure yet, PTG may supply me a diagram. I sent them an email on Friday evening, but they won't respond until Tomorrow or Tuesday, I think tomorrow is a holiday.

It's the blank on the left and the bolt is on top of it. That's not my 308 bolt on the right. But that is my rem 700 tube style blank. The tube style will fit in all of the Remington short action stocks, but the tactical style won't. I have diagrams for short and long actions, but the CheyTac is longer than a long action. As you can see, there's a LOT of material to take off. The CheyTac will be single feed, the tube will be mag feed.

Well, to be honest...it measures 1.5135 on the width, but it's only 9.5" long. The bolt is about 7" long, so maybe that is enough for the tenon, so that may work as a single feed. There's way more material than a 1.60 tube, but it's not as wide at the widest point, if that makes sense? I'm gonna try to calculate if that will work with a standard Rem 700 tenon. 🤔

A bigger width than the 1.45" diameter, though. There's a lot of work to try and lighten it up, if that ends up being my goal, but in the case of 375 CheyTac, I don't think that will be a goal. For 6.5 PRC I have a similar blank, same width, but only 8.5" long, and it has a .702 raceway, so I can't fit this bolt in. Hmmm...I have another tactical, but it's made by a different guy. Supposedly it's stainless also, but it has residue left from the foundry, possibly. This one actually looks just a tad longer than the .750 raceway for the CheyTac...but it has a ..700 or .701 raceway. Plan has been for a 7PRC or <gasp> 7BC (if Federal can prove it's claims)
