Blaser R8

It was for me too. I really wanted to see what the hooplah was about but when I first got into shooting/long range hunting etc it just seemed so far out of touch with what was possible. 5 years ago they were $3200ish. Now that I've been through several rifles etc that would have been a relative bargain, at least from a hunting rifle perspective. Lol. Different rifles for different purposes. The price of any new custom rifle anymore can easily be $4500-$5500. While certainly I wish a few things were a little different on it, I can already tell I won't be selling it and it'll be the rifle I take with me hunting from now on.

Blaser mount has rings. You can also get picatinny mounts. In addition, you can now have barrels cut that are screwed into an extension with an integral picatinny rail. The extension is reuseable for when you either burn a barrel out or if you decide to change cartridges.

Anyone shooting a blaser? I have always wanted one but am a little skeptical. Any first hand experience good or bad?
Years ago, closer to when it was released 2008ish, I wanted one. It took a while before information got out about how it actually shoots.

It is a hunting rifle. 1" at 100 was considered good. At the time, it didn't cut it for me.

Perhaps in the now it's better.

While I hope the barrel I have is not a fluke, it seems to shoot <1/2 MOA…a lot of people have said similar. I would have been happy if it shot <3/4.
