Best stock rifle for under $1000?

I don't reload myself and ive looked for the hsm loaded "factory" rounds off and on for awhile all the sites always have sold out lol do you have any experience with buffalo bore? I was looking at some nosler rounds tonight.

any opinions on factory ammo for it? 180grain or heavier for long range?

All three of mine really like the Hornady Superformance with 180gr Interbonds. The SST's are too explosive on game under 400yds to suit me.

Grizzly Ammo loaded with the 180gr Sircoccos shoots better than anything else I've tried and I love the performance of the Sirocco on game.

I got the rem. 700 long rang in a 300 rum for $700.00 at cabelas last month

Call them directly, their website is often not updated in real time. It has been some time but my friend have done it many times where it was showing out of stock on their site but actually have quite a few on the shelves. It is a small outfit so they are not manned to have a dedicated person for the website updates.

Rum's are enticing but the truth of the matter is that unless you're shooting beyond 1200yds there's really nothing you can do with it you can't do with the 300wm.

The Tikka CTR in 260 is an awesome rifle. The factory triggers will go below 2lbs with the turn of a screw.

I need something to go along with my S&W .500 mag lol Im sure the .300 win will be just fine, all Ill be doing is poppin coyotes occasionally here in Illinois and hopefully get to hunt Montana at some point sooner or later.

got the rifle yesterday and the rest of the goodies should be here next week sometime...tikka t3 lite 300wm, vortex hs-t 4-16x44, leupold mark 4 rings, elite kit from mountain tactical along with some heavier action screws from them too. ill be killin paper in no time lol just got to get through the process of findin what rounds it likes sending down range. I wanted a nighforce hsv but I had a gift card for amazon and cameraland had the vortex on sale so I snagged it. total package right now is at about $1300-1400, still need a bipod but that's about it im thinking. should end up under $1500 for everything.
