Best scope for the money

Got rid of all my Vortex HST and PST scopes, not going there again .... kept my Sightron Slll and Burris XTRll scopes, adding another XTRll and the new XTRlll when it is available,

for plus or minus $100 around a grand you will be hard pressed to get a better scope than the Burris XTRll

I just mounted a pst gen ll 5-25-50 on a 7mm rem mag. I absolutely love it. I shoot 1000 yards quite often, I went with this because of the moa adjustment range. Keep that in mind when you decide. I almost bought a sig sauer but had only half the moa, it was a 700-800 yard scope.

i an sorry...lots of "scopes" cost less than 1000 bucks.
what is its intended use ?
caliber, distance, hunting, target shooting ??

shooting at an elk is like taking a shot at a volkswagon. I would not shoot at one more then 400 yds. I can hit man sized torso target at 600 yds with my M1A with issue irons. I would still use a scope for hunting elk but not one for $2K-4K. I f I was a millionaire I would not spend that much lol

Once I understood that ... I cut other useless and pointless stuff out of my life and with the $$ saved I got quality glass, best thing I've done in a long time

They just work. You see what youre aiming at, super simple / practical reticle, clicks are accurate and repeatable, holds zero. They are "cheap" brand new for $700. What's not to love?

so you finally gave up drinking and gambling lol you do realize that a Chinese scope for $250 today has better glass then a $1000 dollar scope from 35 years ago. Wayne Van Zwoll the only honest gun writer I ever read (also Ross Seyfried) wrote an article about that some years ago.

The Burris XTR II is one of my favorites. I have one on my 6.5-284. I have compared it in the field to my ATACR and it's definitely a good quality scope. Plus the warranty is great!
