Best rifle case for the money.

Anyone have a preference of pelican 1750 vs im3300?
I don't have the IM3300 but I do have a a couple 1750 and the V800. The 1750 is a bit more rugged (stiffer) a bit bigger and slightly heavier than the IM3300 (material seems to be similar to the Pelican Vaults) according to the specs. The IM3300 has the push button releases versus the camming release on the 1750. Just my opinion, but I think the 1750 could take more abuse, but if you're not dropping them out of planes or helicopters, both will serve you fine.

I have Pelicans and these are Better

I have 4 of the Boyt hard side cases. Steel clasps, locks up nice and secure. Catch them on sale for $100. The 53" is what you would need for a 26" barreled rifle.

A lot depends on you intent. Airline vs. to the range.

If you control the carrying, a simple soft case can suffice. If you are jet setting for a hunt, the needs change

Underwater Kinetics makes some decent stuff. They have been a good alternative to Pelican in my experience.
