If you can't find powder for a 308, something is wrong in the world. There are so many powders suitable for this cartridge that it can be overwhelming. Buy at least a couple of pounds of what you can find. Develop a load and go shoot.
748 is like THE ORIGINAL .308 powder!BLC2 and WW748 are very close/similar. I use either when reloading .308 Win. (also the .223)
Post where you are located and I'm sure someone nearby would be happy to help you find some!I've been trying to hunt down some Varget to load up some 150 grain .308 Win for my newly adopted youth hunter. Can't find any but I've seen a decent amount of powder on the shelf. What's the best substitute that a guy is likely to find right now?
I have had excellent results with N-140, and surprisingly it has been one of the easier to find powders lately, There was some on the shelf at my local Big Box sporting store yesterday.N140 and N150
I haven't seen any H4895 in a good while!Depends on the bullet weight but I like TAC and H4895.
