Rl33 worked bestMy buddy just sent me a link to where I can buy those bad boys ! Got a cox of those ordered as well! I think we might have a winner as long as the gun likes them! That's impressive!
I will second this, but for me when once again when supply was none here, I found the 168g ABLR an excellent replacement for the 180g Hybrid. It had even better results than the 175g ABLR for me at 7STW velocities. If the 180 Hyb load shoots...stop there and go kill a truckload of game. That bullet has killed more elk for us than all others combined. From 60 to 882 yds.
Wreaks havoc on internal organs, and have exited on all except 1 cow hard quartering on. Bullet entered neck/shoulder, and all organs were Jell-o. We didn't find the bullet, as we "gutless method" her. She went maybe 20 yards and was dead dead.
We have a full line up of 28 Nosler to choose from. Anything from 145 Barnes to 195 Berger and about anything in between. The twist on your barrel will matter if you are looking into the heavies. Give us a call and we can help you out.Looking for some seasoned 28 guys to direct me to the hardest hitting factory loaded elk round in a 28. Looking at the terminal ascent of course because the trophy bonded bear claw family is iconic! Also looking at the 175 grain Nosler trophy grade, along with the 160 grain trophy grade. Lastly the 180 grain Berger high bred!
Please enlighten me fellas!
What animal and what distanceI ran the 175 Bergers this season 20th off lands cci 250 primer with 80.2 grains Retumbo. Had a softball sized exit wound opposite shoulder.
thank you sir! I'll keep that in mindIf the Berger 180 hybrid doesn't shoot well in your rifle, try Gunwerks 28 Nosler 155 gr Hammer Hunter. Hammer Hunter bullets typically shoot pretty well without load development for a particular rifle, and have very good terminal performance. The Berger 180 hybrid has better BC, though.

Why on earth would you hang up a 30-378 Weatherby?I use 195 gr Bergers, shot my elk this year quartering towards me facing downhill, at 440 yards, aimed where the neck meets the shoulder and squeezed the trigger, front hooves lifted and he was dead before they were headed back down, fastest dying bull I've ever killed, thinking about hanging up the 30-378 weatherby
The .28 Nosler shooting the 195 Bergers actually out performs the 30-378 with 210 Bergers when you start reaching out there, it weighs 3 pounds less and the more I shoot it the better it shootsWhy on earth would you hang up a 30-378 Weatherby?
