I never could get the LRX's to shoot well. The TTSX I like for hogs out of the .223. They will most certainly punch bones, even the biggest and heaviest bones well.100grttsx 168match ttsx 280lrx 180 ttsx
Play with seating depth and check twist rate. Might need a faster twist. Getting sub moa out to1000 with the 338 lapua. All it need was a seating depth change.I never could get the LRX's to shoot well. The TTSX I like for hogs out of the .223. I prefer the Peregrine VRG4 and VLR though for everything else because of the exceptional controlled expansion.
They seem to have done better with the larger diameter and heavier bullets. I tried them in the 7mm STW and 300 Rum and tried everything I could think of. Just couldn't get them to shoot well in four different rifles.Play with seating depth and check twist rate. Might need a faster twist. Getting sub moa out to1000 with the 338 lapua. I just returned from an elk hunt. Shot a 320 class 6x6 bull @ 450 with 175 bergers. 7mm rem mag @ 2900 fps. Absolutely destroyed the front shoulders, neck, and part of the backstraps. Died for sure but personally I am DONE with bergers
Unfortunately that's very similar to my experience with them although I did have a few just pencil through too.I just returned from an elk hunt.
