Berger to introduce 7mm 195 gr EOL Hybrid Hunting Bullet

Seems I read a lot about guys that put their reamers at .317. Seems like that would be a fair number. Very interest.

My 7-300 Win mag reamer set up for 195 Berger has a .316 neck and .260 freebore with .2845 throat diameter. Don't mess with Kiff, he won't hit your specs. JGS will nail the specs and have a far superior reamer!!

Are you having to neck turn your brass with the .316 neck?

what dimensions were you looking for? I am no expert but I really don't see the problem with those dimensions.... A lot of guys have been running their necks at .316 for that wildcat..... the throat dimension seams normal.... did you want a tighter throat? the freebore on the 7/300 cut for the 180 grain hybrid is about .2 so the extra .06 would account for the longer bearing surface on the bullet I would think.... Is it too long for you, too short? or does the reamer just not match the specs you gave him?

My 7-300wm reamer is a .317 neck and .188 freebore for 162/168 bullets. I have to turn RWS and Nosler brass but don't have to turn Winchester. I haven't tried any other brands in it.

I agree with the above about JGS. I switched long ago to avoid the missed delivery dates (by months sometimes), wrong specs, wrong parts, or reamers that cut like crap because they were sharpened wrong. Manson makes really good reamers as well that cut better than JGS, PTG, or Clymer but their delivery times are usually longer than JGS and I'm not super fond of their E clip to hold the pilots on. They fly off the bench or across the room way too easy. They will make it with a screw like JGS and PTG but it cost 30.00 more.

I was quoted 6 weeks from JGS when I ordered my 7-338 Norma Imp last week and the last reamer I ordered from them it was the same. It was actually finished in 5 weeks. Manson was 8 weeks out about a month ago but they've been as long as 6 months at times so it's best to call them.

That is a JGS reamer and is nuts on, I have a number of reamers that aren't to spec but work and some that have been back to Kiff 3 times to get ground to what was on the print, last one I saw they missed the neck length by .040!!

Hey Doc, just to let the guys at Berger know, the 195 is not available in the stability calculator's selection database on their website. You still have to manually input the bullet data. Just letting yall know, incase it got overlooked.
