Berger 6.5mm 156 gr. bullets. . .where are they???

Jeff tested the 155's in a 6.5 creed, and the Extreme Outer Limits group tested them in a 26 nosler and a 6.5x284, possibly among others. But as has been stated, the b.c.'s came up short compared to other offerings, and they went back to the drawing board.

In contact with the director of marketing for the capstone group (Berger, Lapua, Vihtavouri, and SK) the move, as well as their new ammunition line, slowed them down and impacted production, and they set the project aside for the moment to catch up. According to him, they are going to pick it back up again shortly after the beginning of the year, and will then start the testing process again with their beta testers.

IMO they absolutely should care about .257 cal.
Also Sierra is ahead in their 6mm 110gr, beats Berger's 115 gr!

I'm a quarter bore fan and think they should care too, but I also understand all the reasons other calibers get more love. Like I said I think they should try to have the best reasonable bc in every caliber. I'd hang my hat on that position if I were them. For now though I'm just happy that blackjack has stepped up and can't wait for them to get some sporter weight, fast twist, kreigers or bartleins in stock.

Early reports say the"target" bullet has done very well on game. I was also waiting on the hunting bullet (which is scheduled for a 2019 release) but I'm not sure I need it. .330 that smacks deer is pretty good.

The 160 .264 Matrix has a .332 G7...

Shipping from Canada does not seem too bad...

Got an accuracy node in the low 3400fps with the 150 Sierras...not billed as a hunting bullet...

Looking forward to the Matrix 160s in my 1-8 twist 6.5/257 Wby, 28"...which is sold as a hunting bullet...

To all,
Unfortunately some of our projected new bullet releases for 2018 have been moved back. This is mainly due to the fact that we are putting our efforts towards getting caught up with our back ordered 6.5 bullets ETC. We did pre-produce bullets in quantities that we hoped would hold us through the move to Mesa. However, due to the explosion of demand for 6.5 bullets this didn't work out and we got behind. Our apologies for this. Right now I have no release dates for the 6.5 156gr EOL/ELITE HUNTER , .30 caliber ELITE HUNTER , and .338 caliber 329gr ELITE HUNTER bullets. Load data, bullet specifications and barrel twist rate needed will come out as these bullets are released. New Berger bullet releases and other information appear on the BERGER BLOG first : https://visitor.constantcontact.com...xE6_vgdx4rWZwZh2bWSPWA40IX3LECdsgOtfce8Un1yE= .
Again, we apologize for any inconvenience due to us getting behind. And please know that we are doing our best to make sure that this does not happen in the future.
Thank you.

I have been waiting on these (as MANY others have too) for a long time now. In July I was told that they should have them in circulation by the Fall (I assumed Berger meant Fall `18) and here we are almost closing the year out and nothing . . crickets.

The 150 grain Sierra's are shooting well for me and I did some critter testing on some hogs off the power line easement with decent results. Right out of the box terminal results were okay, but heat treating the tips (Elkoholic/BigNGreen trick) seemed to make things a little nastier on the insides.

These Bergers are what I'm wanting though and I'm getting ready to do a 6.5 tailored for a 150 grain plus weighted hunting bullet. Anybody "in the know" with any information on a release date yet? Thank you.[/QUO

Probably should be thinking outside the box Government probably Shut them down. Or has bought them out too shut them down. There has been a lot of this stuff that goes on that nobody knows about. When found out the government comes up with some made up lie about some kind of law being broke. Back in the 80s the same thing happened with Hydrogen cars that was a threat to the oil industry and to the politicians pockets they silenced those plans real quick. in fact what was it last year or the year before they reintroduced the idea of hydrogen cars and once again it all just fell dead silent once again. The Tutu wearing anti everything whiny cry baby drama god nosy cant mind their own Fing business Libtard coward sheeple are destroying this country and RIGHTS and FREEDOMS. If you want to know where your bullets are there is probably your answer.

You .257 caliber guys. Send your bullet requests to us at [email protected] and we WILL get them on our NEW PRODUCTS LIST for consideration.

I've called it in, emailed it in, written posts trying ralley support. I'd love for you to come out with a high bc .257 to help increase fast twist barrel offerings and add a second option, but to be honest I feel some allegiance to blackjack as they are the first to step up.

Welcome to Arizona!

It may not seem like it, but we appreciate your company's efforts barefooter.
I can imagine the stress Berger as a company (employees) went through in the move, and as you see here, your customers love your products and did some stressing too!

Keep making those 215 Berger Hybrid Targets, and I'll keep piling them up in tiny little holes!
Until I actually get drawn for something in this state, that is!

When the 156 is released, I'll get in line at the gunsmith to put together a 264 win mag to shoot them. I'm thinking my 9 twist is going to fall a little short...

Until then, I have enough to keep me busy! Lol!
