Has any one had to bed theirs to get it to shoot, I'm waiting on bedding compound now. I bolt it back in original stock it shoots Tacks???

I talked to someone about mine, and he said don't bed it. However, mine is rock solid. He said to just snug down the stock screw by the recoil lug and then put one hand by the tang and one on the barrel and see if it will see-saw slightly, if it does, it should be bedded around the lug area and the tang. Hope this helps.

you can tell by the barrel shape that it is a Remington 700 VTR in 308.

I knew it was a VTR, but I didn't look at the shells in the butt stock holder . I have a VTR myself lol, but they do make it in different calibers.
