You can't expect polices that work for countries with populations the size of California to work in a country of 350,000,000 . You sure can't expect anything that's offered as a freebie to be sustainable in a country that is pushing for open boarders.
Sorry if I made you think I enlisted in our great armed forces . I had a choice many years ago. Stay home and care for my parents, or enlist and see the world. I chose the former. We play the hands we are dealt. I would pick up one of my ARs and fight today, cane and all, if my country asked that of me, but at the age of good health and youth, i just signed up for the draft instead for reasons beyond my control.Just keep reapplying for VA. There's no limit. Hire a lawyer too. They only charge you if they win your case. They take about 7% of your earnings. Sign up on VA.gov to start your claim. You need your military records from time of service and see private doctors to back up your claim. They need to say "this injury during the military manifested into what we see today." It has to be that blunt. Also, the salary cap thing is total BS. I make A LOT as an engineer in the private sector, and I still got rated at 80%.
I'm still reapplying since I have 3 compressed discs and spinal stenosis which the VA only rated it as "back strain." They never took MRIs or xrays. They just did a range of motion test. An overnight stay in the hospital from my back locking up made me reapply.
Also, who gives a crap what other people think. The VA doesn't judge you, Americans don't judge you, the politicians they elected created these programs. Use them.
CO GUY thanks for your opinion I live in the United States of America where we are free to have and voice and an opinion . I have been to other countries in this world where that wasn't and still isn't the case . The similarities between the VA medical system and socialized medical systems is that in so many cases there is a lack of quality care and a long wait time for treatment , why do so many people come to the U.S.A and pay for medical care instead of using their free socialized medical systems ? People come to the United States from Canada to live and work as well as to seek medical treatments, and we allow them to , instead of standing and waiting for a slot to be treated for such as cancer . I didn't see Mick Jager going back to the U.K. to have heart surgery . I am glad and proud to have served in the military of the United States of America where we are all free to show our ---' and act a fool myself included . I have medical insurance and pay for it plus a deductible and yes if your are in the middle income bracket in the United States you will pay the lions share of the taxes as well as carry a lot of people that fell they are entitled to a free ride ,they think that their ancestors paid for them to . I have not forgotten what it was like in third world countries or in socialized as well as communist countries I perhaps have not been the world traveler that others have and probably not as educated as most but I have not lead a sheltered life either I did not set and stagnate as some have I try to stay abreast of current events

3 strikes and your outa there, for civilians in need of help . I didnt even get a tip foul when i tried to get disability. Dont guess i blame them too much. They can't look into my past and know that asking for a handout is the last thing I'd want to do. That I prided myself on doing the work of 2 or 3 men just because it felt good to pull more than my weight. I probably even downplayed my disability because I didnt want to show weakness. Whatever......we are getting by ok now. My son chose my path ,works 3 jobs now and skipped college. He is still considering the service and I encourage him to do so. My 13 yr old daughter actually asked me today, what I think about her joining the service. I told her I think she would be great at it !
Kinda figured you didSorry quoted the wrong post.
As long as the meds are what they say they are, I'm in too. Popping a pill from someplace I dont know from people that may not like where I'm from, kinda gives me the hebbies !Well written and I completely agree with all of this and I know fully, that there are MANY governments that have more socialism vs capitalism or where thugs rule, and have not served their citizens well at all.
One thing I'd add about your example of folks coming here for treatment and is of interest to all, is CO's recent legislation which allows the purchase of medications from outside the US. I don't know if it is Canada/Mexico exclusively, but if it helps the middle class average guy, I'm in.
Finland makes great rifles, so do some other socialist countries. Not all socialism is Cuba.Of course, it's the only other socialist statements , other than yours ,on this thread.
Hey 300whisper, I just noticed we are neighbors . I'm in Monroe County , up around the Indian Springs end . Did you ever do any business at Chucks In WR ? I worked down there for 14 yrs as the " archery guy " , but handed , I dont know, a few million guns across the counter too.
