I have a Bergara b-14 in 7rem mag. Wanting to rebate to a 26 Nosler possibly. What all would I need to do to be able to convert this action? Besides a new barrel

Headspace gauges. Barrel and or action wrenches. Check the bolt face. I don't remember what the face size is for the 26 nosler, and it's not my job to look it up. A vice. Probably a gunsmith/machinist depending what type of barrel you get.

If you try to use a barrel nut, then you will need a chassis or stock big enough to clear it.

If you use a regular barrel then the headspace is set off the shoulder. At that point you might as well upgrade the recoil lug, pin it, and maybe blue print.

Basically, the same process you would need for a 700.

From what I see, the 26 nosler rim diameter is only .002 larger than the 7mm Rem Mag. There should be enough clearance built into the bolt face to accommodate it. Buy some brass and check it out.

The other things you'll probably need is a gunsmith with the proper reamer and some money....depending on how you go about it.

Send it to OMR, They do Bergara upgrade packages, and prefit and shouldered barrels. Bolt face is right so just rebarrel.
Edit- I forgot, you will need to open feed rails, super ez with a bastard file takes 10 minutes, and a rum follower and mag box.

So, I wasn't specific enough. My thought was I have a 300rum and I know the 26nosler is just a shortened version. The 300rum will can't be pushed down into the magazine. If I put a pice of brass in from the bottom it will feed up when the bolt is worked. I'm assuming that would mean the feed rails need to be opened?

You started with a 7 Rem mag, and that has now become a 300 RUM, but you want to rebarrel into a 26 Nosler Possibly?

First, you need to figure out what you have. Step 2, go to a gunsmith.

Is it a detachable magazine or internal box magazine?

Either way, from what you described above it sounds like you'll either need new magazines if detachable and/or modify feed rails. Bolt face is fine. Your bolt stop may need to be modified depending on your reamer specs.

It's a hinged floor plate. Was simply wanting to rebarrel the 7mag to 26 Nosler. I was thinking it was just needing the feed rails opened up.

Spend the money - with what you're going to spend on parts, gunsmithing you will come out ahead and save yourself a lot of grief and headaches, and probably money. Been this road many times.
