A Vesper is an HR just like a Anti is a Ruckus. Same basic designs, just skeletonized. Bat always offered a lightweight version of the HR, you just had to know and ask for it. It was not a separate model. The Vesper has taken that to the extreme. None of the really cut up actions run as smooth as the full weight versions. Since I cut my teeth building rifles for Benchrest, Im kind of an action snob. I know how smooth they can be when you go through them and things are timed and ignition is tuned that I really cant get past that. I will carry a few more ounces just like I will for a real scope too.
