Think your right. If it was really old the nuts would be square, I bet it's from the 50's since that's when he became a gunsmith. I have quit a few of my great grandfather's carpentry tools. I still use a few of them.
Not really. Look at what car were built. I don't remember seeing to many square side nuts on them.If it was really old the nuts would be square, I bet it's from the 50's since that's when he became a gunsmith. I have quit a few of my great grandfather's carpentry tools. I still use a few of them.
They would tell stories of old timers hanging out, drinking like fish, lying like hell.If all those tools could talk I can only imagine the stories they could tell!
Look again, some of the nuts are square. If it was really old the nuts would be square, I bet it's from the 50's since that's when he became a gunsmith. I have quit a few of my great grandfather's carpentry tools. I still use a few of them.
I had a 49 Dodge pickup and if I remember correctly portions of the bed was bolted together with square nuts. So I would think this barrel vice would be a product of the fifties. My 2 cents. Not really. Look at what car were built. I don't remember seeing to many square side nuts on them.
