Barrel Damage?

Hello good people, sorry but after looking again at the pics blown up as much as I can it really looks like something may have been dropped down the barrel and then tried to tap it out maybe the wrong way first and maybe back out. Also that camera takes an awesome pictures.
But isn't the bore diameter consistent all the way through the barrel? Why would something stop at this spot? My first thought was a chamber bore guide for a caliber way below this one allowing the bore guide to go into the bore itself instead of stopping in the chamber. Then it was rotated to lock in. Mine rotates then locks against the bolt notch.

Looks like 26Reload could be correct.
If a bullet lodged in there, as it was pounded out the rod has slipped and hit the bore several times.
This is why I have numerous solid brass round bar in various sizes from 17 cal through 50 cal. It will not marr the barrel even if it whacks it.
Was this a new purchase by your buddy?

Cheers.
I have seen bullet suck in barrels and there is no pounding them out.

That's from shoving something into the barrel that shouldn't be in there, IMO. It appears to be physical damage to me. I can't possibly see that gun holding 1 MOA anymore. Prob shot good before he started trying to clean it. Maybe try some JB or just re-barrel.

It does take awesome pics. How much does one of these scopes run?

Looks pretty clear to me that the rifling machine jumped right there and left a burr in that barrel. If it's a custom I would send it back.
You might be able to fire lap it with the abrasive bullets sold by david Tubbs. I'd start with the most abrasive and work through the whole set. That will probably take care of it, but if I paid good money for a custom barrel I'd be send it back and ask them to cover the cost of re-chambering.

It was around 50 or 60 dollars about a year and a half ago. I would never buy another Teslong since I found out it is Chinese.
Ya, the name screams Xi Jinping. Shoutout to Apple for helping me spell that correctly. (Who's in who's pocket I wonder?)

What does the crowd recommend for entry level bore scopes?
